Arkansas claims to be the birthplace of “cheese dip.” Arkansas Tourism’s research traces the origins back to a local Mexican restaurant in Hot Springs in 1935 (a full decade before Ro-Tel was even invented). Some of our favorite places to get some authentic Little Rock cheese dip are Heights Taco & Tamale Co., Loca Luna, and Dizzy’s.
